Alma Allen

Alma Allen is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives for District 131, representing parts of Harris County. Born in 1939, she originates from the Sunnyside neighborhood of Houston. Before her election to the state legislature in 2004, she served for ten years on the Texas State Board of Education. Throughout her tenure in the House, which began in 2005, she has been re-elected multiple times, continuing her long-standing career in public service and education advocacy.
