Alon Schuster

Alon Schuster is an Israeli politician currently serving as a member of the Knesset for the National Unity party. Born in Rehovot in 1957, he served in the Israel Defense Forces before pursuing a career in education and local government. He notably served as the mayor of the Sha'ar HaNegev Regional Council from 2002 to 2018. In his national political career, Schuster has held several high-profile positions, including Minister of Agriculture from 2020 to 2021 and Deputy Minister of Defense from 2021 to 2022. He is a graduate of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where he studied computer science and mathematics.
