Amadeo Flores Carcagno

Amadeo Flores Carcagno is a Peruvian lawyer and politician currently serving as the Minister of Defense of Peru, a position he assumed on April 22, 2026, under the government of José María Balcázar. A specialist in national development and defense, he holds a master's degree from the Center for Higher National Studies (CAEN). Prior to his ministerial appointment, he served as Chief of Cabinet for the Ministerial Office and worked as a parliamentary advisor. His career also includes roles in the Ministry of Housing, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, and the Ministry of the Interior, alongside experience as a university professor focusing on public policy.
