Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti is an Indonesian bureaucrat and engineer who currently serves as the Chief of the Central Agency of Statistics (BPS), a position she assumed on February 19, 2025, following her appointment by President Prabowo Subianto. Prior to this role, she held several strategic positions within the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas), including Deputy for Economic Affairs, Expert Staff to the Minister for Economic Synergy and Financing, and Director of Macro Planning and Statistical Analysis. She began her government career in 1999. Amalia holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master of Science from the Bandung Institute of Technology, a Master of Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the United States, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
