A member of the Liberal National Party, she previously served as a Senator for Queensland from 2018 to 2022, during which time she held ministerial portfolios including Assistant Minister to the Attorney-General and Assistant Minister for Women. A lawyer by training, Stoker is a self-described conservative who has advocated for religious freedom, free speech, and traditional social values throughout her career.
