Amihai Eliyahu is an Israeli politician and activist who has served as the Minister of Heritage since 2025. A member of the Otzma Yehudit party, he was first elected to the Knesset in 2022. Born in Jerusalem and raised in Shlomi, Eliyahu is the son of Shmuel Eliyahu and grandson of former Chief Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu. He served in the IDF Paratroopers Brigade and fought in the 2006 Lebanon War. Politically, he is known for his far-right views, including strong opposition to a two-state solution, support for the annexation of the West Bank, and controversial remarks regarding the Gaza Strip.
