Anand Mishra is an Indian politician and former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer who currently serves as a Member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly for the Buxar constituency. A 2011-batch IPS officer of the Assam–Meghalaya cadre, he gained widespread recognition for his counter-insurgency and anti-corruption operations, earning the moniker 'Singham' for his no-nonsense policing style. After resigning from the police service in 2024, he entered politics and was elected to the Bihar Legislative Assembly in 2025 as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
