B. L. Verma

Banwari Lal Verma is an Indian politician currently serving as a Minister of State in the Government of India, holding portfolios in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. A prominent leader representing the OBC Lodhi community in western Uttar Pradesh, he has been a long-time party worker for the Bharatiya Janata Party. Before his national ministerial appointment, he served as the president of the Braj region and as the chairman of the UP State Construction Development Corporation Limited. He is widely recognized as a close aide to former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh and has been a key figure in the BJP's organizational structure in Uttar Pradesh since 2018.
