Andrónico Rodríguez

Andrónico Rodríguez Ledezma is a Bolivian politician and political scientist who serves as a Senator for the Cochabamba Department. A prominent leader within the coca growers' unions of the Chapare region, he rose to national prominence as the President of the Chamber of Senators, a position he held for multiple consecutive terms starting in 2020. Known for his close ties to former President Evo Morales, Rodríguez has been a central figure in the Movement for Socialism (MAS). He has also served as the acting President of Bolivia and the Plurinational Legislative Assembly on several occasions. In 2025, he launched a campaign for the presidency of Bolivia, positioning himself as a candidate focused on national development and democratic reform.
