Andrea Caroni is a Swiss lawyer and politician serving as a member of the Council of States since 2015, representing the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden. He previously served on the National Council from 2011 to 2015 and was elected President of the Council of States for the 2024–2025 period. Educated at the University of Zürich, the University of Lausanne, and Harvard Kennedy School, he has also worked as a lawyer and as a lecturer in public law at the University of St. Gallen.
