Andrea Katz

Andrea Katz is an American politician and lawyer serving as a member of the New Jersey General Assembly for the 8th legislative district. She assumed office on January 9, 2024, after defeating Republican incumbent Brandon Umba in the 2023 election, marking the first time a Democrat has represented the district since 1974. Prior to her election to the state legislature, Katz served on the Chesterfield School Board. She is a resident of Chesterfield Township, New Jersey, and holds an educational background from Pennsbury High School and Bucks County Community College.
