Andreas Handschuh

Andreas Handschuh is a German administrative lawyer and non-partisan political official currently serving as the Head of the State Chancellery and State Secretary for Federal and European Affairs in Saxony. Before his appointment to the state government in 2024, he served as State Secretary in the Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism. Handschuh previously held significant academic administrative roles, including serving as Chancellor of the Technical University of Dresden and the Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg. He holds a doctorate in law and has contributed to academic literature on public administration and regional finance.
