Katharina Günther-Wünsch is a German politician and member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) who has served as the Senator for Education, Youth and Family in Berlin since April 2023. Before entering state-level politics, she worked as a teacher and deputy school principal in Berlin-Neukölln and served as a member of the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district assembly. A former competitive athlete, she was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives in 2021 and re-elected in 2023. In her capacity as Senator, she has focused on educational policy, including controversial debates regarding curriculum reforms in Berlin schools.
