Kaweh Mansoori is a German politician and lawyer who currently serves as the Hessian Minister for Economic Affairs, Energy, Transport, Housing and Rural Areas and as Deputy Minister-President of Hesse. Born in Gießen to Iranian parents, he studied law at the Justus Liebig University Gießen and previously worked as a lawyer at KPMG Law. Before his appointment to the state cabinet in 2024, he served as a member of the German Bundestag from 2021 to 2024. A member of the SPD, Mansoori has been active in regional leadership roles, including as chairman of the SPD Hessen-Süd since 2019. His political focus includes social equality, the acceleration of renewable energy infrastructure, and tenant rights.
