Andreas Scherwitzl

Andreas Scherwitzl is an Austrian politician and member of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). Born in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, he has served as a member of the Carinthia Landtag since 2013 and has held the position of President of the Carinthia Landtag since October 2025. In addition to his parliamentary duties, he has served as the mayor of the market town of Magdalensberg since 2009. Throughout his career, he has worked as an employee for the Carinthia state government and has been active in various parliamentary committees, including those focused on legal, constitutional, and educational affairs.
