Andrew Clyde

Andrew Scott Clyde is an American politician and businessman serving as the U.S. representative for Georgia's 9th congressional district since 2021. A former U.S. Navy commander who served for 28 years, Clyde transitioned into the private sector as the owner of a gun shop before entering politics. Known for his conservative stances, he has been a vocal advocate for tax reform and gun rights, while also drawing national attention for his controversial remarks regarding the January 6 Capitol attack and his opposition to various federal legislative measures. He remains a member of the House Appropriations and Budget Committees.
