Andrew Gwynne

Andrew Gwynne is a British politician who served as the Member of Parliament for Denton and Reddish from 2005 to 2024, and for Gorton and Denton from 2024 to 2026. A long-standing member of the Labour Party, he held various shadow cabinet positions, including Shadow Minister for Public Health and Social Care. In 2024, he was appointed Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Public Health and Prevention. He resigned from Parliament in January 2026 following a period of controversy regarding his conduct and on the grounds of ill health.
