Andrija Popović is a Montenegrin politician and former professional water polo player who currently serves as a Member of the Parliament of Montenegro. A prominent figure in the Liberal Party of Montenegro, he has led the party as its president since 2009. Before his political career, Popović was a highly decorated athlete, winning a gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics as a member of the Yugoslav national water polo team. He is also the Secretary General of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee and has been a vocal advocate for Montenegro's integration into the European Union and NATO.
