Duško Marković is a Montenegrin politician who served as the Prime Minister of Montenegro from 2016 to 2020. A law graduate from the University of Kragujevac, he began his career in legal consulting before entering politics, serving as the mayor of Mojkovac and later holding various high-level security and government positions, including head of the National Security Agency and Minister of Justice. Formerly a prominent member of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), he left the party in 2024 to found the Party of European Progress (SEP), which he currently leads. Throughout his career, he has been a central figure in Montenegrin politics, overseeing the country's accession to NATO and navigating significant domestic challenges, including protests regarding religious legislation and corruption allegations.
