Anil Desai

Anil Desai is an Indian politician currently serving as a member of the Lok Sabha, representing the Mumbai South Central constituency. A long-time member of the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), he previously served two terms in the Rajya Sabha starting in 2012. Known as a sober and strategic figure within his party, Desai has been instrumental in managing legal matters, election operations, and organizational resources. In 2020, he gained attention for proposing a private member's bill to introduce a two-child policy in India to help control population growth through tax and employment incentives.
