A prominent figure in the Shiv Sena (UBT) party, he previously served as the Cabinet Minister for Tourism, Environment, and Protocol in the Government of Maharashtra from 2019 to 2022. Before entering electoral politics, he led the party's youth wing, the Yuva Sena, and was involved in various social and environmental initiatives, including the promotion of a plastic ban in the state. He is the son of former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and represents the third generation of his family in Maharashtra politics.
