Before entering electoral politics, he led the party's youth wing, the Yuva Sena, and was involved in various social and environmental initiatives, including the promotion of a plastic ban in the state. He is the son of former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and represents the third generation of his family in Maharashtra politics.
