Anita Angelovska-Bežoska is a Macedonian economist who served as the Governor of the National Bank of North Macedonia from 2018 to 2025. She was the first woman to hold this position, having previously served as Vice Governor from 2011 to 2018. Throughout her career, she held various roles at the Ministry of Finance and worked as an economist at the International Monetary Fund. Her tenure as Governor was marked by efforts to maintain financial stability during global crises, including the COVID-19 pandemic, and the advancement of North Macedonia's integration into the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA).
