Ann Cummings

Ann Cummings is an American politician and businesswoman serving as a member of the Vermont Senate. First elected to the Senate in 1996, she has represented Washington County for multiple terms and previously served as the Senate's majority leader from 2001 to 2003. Before her legislative career, she was the mayor of Montpelier, where she was noted for her leadership during the 1992 downtown flood relief efforts. Cummings has held various leadership roles in the Senate, including chairing the Finance and Education committees.
