Anthony M. Bucco

Anthony M. Bucco is an American politician serving as a member of the New Jersey Senate, where he currently holds the position of Senate Minority Leader. A lifelong resident of the Boonton area, he previously served in the New Jersey General Assembly from 2010 until his appointment to the Senate in 2019 following the death of his father, Anthony R. Bucco. An attorney by profession, he specializes in local government law and has been active in public service as a volunteer firefighter and a member of the Governor's Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse. His legislative work has focused on state issues including affordable housing laws and the Highlands Act.
