Anton Stapelkamp

Anton Stapelkamp is a Dutch politician, jurist, and author who has served as the Mayor of Aalten since December 2017. Before his current role, he was the Mayor of Kapelle from 2011 to 2017. Originally a member of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA), he transitioned to the Christian Union party in 2014. Stapelkamp previously held positions in local government in Hillegersberg-Schiebroek and worked as an educator and coordinator in public administration. He is also a published author of several books on Dutch constitutional and administrative law, as well as local history.
