Antonio Guidi is an Italian politician and neurologist who currently serves as a member of the Senate of the Republic. Born in Rome in 1945, he has a distinguished career in medicine and public service, having previously served as the Minister for Family and Social Solidarity in the first Berlusconi government. As a prominent advocate for disability rights, he was the first person with a disability to hold a government position in the history of the Italian Republic. Throughout his career, he has been affiliated with several parties, including Forza Italia and the Italian Socialist Party, before joining Brothers of Italy and winning his current seat in the 2022 general election.
