Arend van Hout

Arend van Hout is a Dutch administrator and politician who has served as the Mayor of Westervoort since September 6, 2013. Born in Marken in 1958, he is the son of former mayor Bauke van Hout. He studied administrative sciences in Groningen and previously held positions in the cabinet of the King's Commissioner in both Drenthe and Gelderland. Formerly a member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), he has been politically independent since 2023.
