Aris Babikian
Profile
Aris Babikian is a Canadian politician serving as the Member of Provincial Parliament for Scarborough—Agincourt since 2018. Born in Aleppo, Syria, and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, he immigrated to Canada in 1978. Before his election, he served as a citizenship judge and held leadership roles within the Armenian community. As a member of the Progressive Conservative Party, he became the first Canadian of Armenian descent elected to the Ontario Legislature and currently serves as a parliamentary assistant to the Minister of Citizenship and Multiculturalism.
