Arjun Modhwadia

Arjun Modhwadia is an Indian politician currently serving as a Cabinet Minister for Forest and Environment, Science and Technology, and Climate Change in the Government of Gujarat. A mechanical engineer by training, he began his political career with the Indian National Congress, serving as the Leader of the Opposition in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly from 2004 to 2007 and as the president of the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee. In 2024, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party and was subsequently elected to the Gujarat Legislative Assembly with a record-breaking margin. He is also known for his philanthropic work through the Maldevji Odedara Memorial Trust, which focuses on promoting education.
