Armin Schenk is a German politician and the Lord Mayor of Bitterfeld-Wolfen. Born in 1961 in Wolfen, he trained as an electrical engineer and worked in the local film industry before transitioning into municipal management and politics. A member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), he served on the Thalheim municipal council and the Bitterfeld-Wolfen city council before being elected Lord Mayor in 2017. He was re-elected for a second term in 2023, continuing his focus on regional economic development.
