Stefan Gruhner is a German politician and member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). Since December 2024, he has served as the Head of the Thuringian State Chancellery and Minister for Federal and European Affairs, Sport and Volunteering in the Voigt Cabinet. Previously, he held various roles including member of the Thuringian State Parliament from 2014 to 2019 and parliamentary group manager for the CDU in the state legislature. Gruhner holds a degree in political science and history from the University of Jena and an MBA from the Quadriga University of Applied Sciences Berlin. He has been active in local politics in the Saale-Orla-Kreis since 2004.
