Astrid Heijstee-Bolt

Astrid Heijstee-Bolt is a Dutch politician and administrator currently serving as the Mayor of Kaag en Braassem, a position she has held since November 3, 2021. Before entering her current role, she served as an alderman and first deputy mayor of Weesp starting in 2014, representing the Weesper Stads Partij. Educated in civil engineering and public administration at the University of Twente, she previously worked in government roles for the municipalities of Almere and The Hague, and operated her own project consultancy firm, care4space, focusing on real estate and area development. She is a member of the Democrats 66 (D66) party.
