Mpanzu Bamenga is a Dutch politician, jurist, and human rights activist serving as a member of the House of Representatives since 2023. Born in Kinshasa, he moved to the Netherlands as a child and lived as an undocumented refugee for thirteen years before obtaining legal status. Before his national parliamentary career, he served on the Eindhoven municipal council. Bamenga is widely recognized for his successful legal battle against racial profiling by the Royal Marechaussee, which led to a landmark court ruling against discriminatory inspection practices. In parliament, he focuses on issues including foreign trade, development cooperation, integration, and anti-discrimination legislation.
