Boris Dittrich is a Dutch politician, jurist, and human rights activist currently serving as a member of the Senate of the Netherlands, where he has held the position of First Vice-President since 2025. A prominent member of the social-liberal party Democrats 66 (D66), he previously served in the House of Representatives from 1994 to 2006, including a tenure as party leader. Throughout his career, Dittrich has been a pioneering advocate for LGBT rights, playing a key role in the legalization of same-sex marriage in the Netherlands.
