Eddy Hartog

Eddy Hartog is a Dutch politician and former civil servant who has served as a member of the Senate of the Netherlands since June 2023, representing the party Volt Netherlands. Born in Utrecht, he studied economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam and political science at the College of Europe. Before entering politics, Hartog had a long career as a civil servant at the European Commission from 1989 until 2023. Currently, he serves on several Senate committees, including those for Foreign Affairs, Finance, and European Affairs, and acts as a substitute member of the Dutch delegation to the Benelux Interparliamentary Assembly.
