Atanas Stoyanov

Atanas Stoyanov is a Bulgarian politician currently serving as the Mayor of Sandanski Municipality. He assumed office on November 14, 2019, and has been active in regional governance, including his role as a member of the European Committee of the Regions since January 2020. Born in 1971, Stoyanov has focused his administration on the development of Sandanski as a key recreation and spa center in southwestern Bulgaria. He remains engaged in local crisis management and municipal development initiatives.
