市原淳

Atsushi Ichihara is a Japanese politician and pharmacist currently serving as the Mayor of Mobara, Chiba Prefecture. Born in Mobara, he graduated from the Teikyo University Faculty of Pharmacy and completed training at the University of Tokyo Hospital. Before entering politics, he worked as a pharmacist and served as the representative director of Ichihara Pharmacy. He began his political career as a member of the Chiba Prefectural Assembly, serving two terms starting in 2019. In April 2024, he was elected as the Mayor of Mobara after defeating the incumbent in a closely contested election.
