Awadhesh Prasad is an Indian politician and a founding member of the Samajwadi Party. He currently serves as a Member of Parliament in the 18th Lok Sabha, representing the Faizabad constituency. A veteran leader from the Pasi Dalit community, Prasad previously served nine terms as a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly and held ministerial positions in the state government six times. Known as an organization man, he has been a key figure in the Samajwadi Party since its inception in 1992 and is recognized for his strategic role in mobilizing OBC, Dalit, and Muslim voter bases.
