Ayor Makur Chuot is an Australian politician serving as a member of the Western Australian Legislative Council for the North Metropolitan region. Elected in 2021, she holds the distinction of being the first Western Australian state Member of Parliament of African and South Sudanese descent. Born in 1989, Chuot spent ten years in the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya before emigrating to Australia in 2005 following the death of her father in the Second Sudanese Civil War. Prior to her political career, she worked as an accountant and an international model.
