B Nagendra

B. Nagendra is an Indian politician currently serving as a member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly representing the Bellary Rural constituency. A graduate of Veerashaiva College, he began his political career with the Bharatiya Janata Party before joining the Indian National Congress. Throughout his career, he has held various positions, including serving as the Minister of Sports and Youth Services and as the chairman of the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation. In 2024, he faced significant controversy and legal challenges regarding the alleged misappropriation of funds from the corporation, leading to his resignation from the cabinet and a period of incarceration before being granted bail.
