Bantubonke Harrington Holomisa is a South African politician and the president of the United Democratic Movement (UDM). Born in Mqanduli, he served as the head of government of Transkei from 1987 to 1994 before entering national politics. After a brief tenure in the African National Congress (ANC) and serving as a Deputy Minister, he was expelled in 1996 and subsequently co-founded the UDM in 1997. He has been a prominent member of the National Assembly since 1999, known for his vocal opposition to corruption and his frequent challenges to executive leadership.
