Basangouda Patil Yatnal

Basangouda Patil Yatnal is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly for the Bijapur City constituency. Throughout his career, he has held various positions, including Union Minister of State for Textiles and Railways, and has served as a member of the Lok Sabha and the Karnataka Legislative Council. Known for his staunch Hindu nationalist views, Yatnal has frequently sparked controversy for his remarks regarding religious minorities and political opponents. In March 2025, he was expelled from the Bharatiya Janata Party for six years due to anti-party activities.
