Bassam Talhouni

Bassam Talhouni is a Jordanian lawyer, academic, and politician currently serving as the Minister of Justice. Born in Amman in 1964, he holds a PhD in law from the University of Edinburgh and has had a long career in both academia and public service. He previously served as the Minister of Justice in the cabinet of Bisher Al-Khasawneh and held the same position under Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour. Talhouni has also worked as an assistant professor at the University of Jordan and as a legal practitioner.
