Bastien Girod

Bastien Girod is a Swiss politician and sustainability researcher who has served as a member of the National Council since 2007. Born in Geneva and raised in Biel/Bienne, he holds a PhD in environmental science from ETH Zurich and an Executive MBA from the University of Zurich. In addition to his parliamentary work on the environment, spatial planning, and energy committee, he has held roles as a lecturer at ETH Zurich and as a corporate sustainability advisor. He is also the president of the industry association for Swiss waste revalorization plants.
