Ben Barnes

Benjamin Scott Barnes is an American politician serving as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing the 21st district since 2007. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and the University of Baltimore School of Law, Barnes previously worked as a legislative advisor and attorney. Throughout his tenure in the legislature, he has held leadership roles including chief deputy majority whip and chair of the House Appropriations Committee. His legislative focus has included education funding, fiscal policy, gun control, and social issues such as marriage equality.
