Benny Utama is an Indonesian politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR-RI) for the West Sumatra II electoral district, having assumed office in October 2024. Prior to his national legislative career, he served two terms as the Regent of Pasaman from 2010 to 2015 and 2021 to 2023. His extensive political background also includes serving as a member of the West Sumatra Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) and as the Chairman of the Pasaman Regional DPRD. Before entering politics, he worked as a public prosecutor for the Attorney General's Office of Indonesia.
