Bernice Swarts

Bernice Swarts is a South African politician currently serving as the Deputy Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and Environmental Affairs. Since her election to the National Assembly in 2019 as a representative of the African National Congress, she has held various parliamentary roles, including membership on the Portfolio Committee on International Relations and Cooperation. Previously, she served as the Deputy Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure starting in 2023. Throughout her career, she has been an active participant in national legislative processes and party-affiliated committees.
