Berthin Gómez Vela

Berthin Enrique Gómez Vela is a Peruvian lawyer and public official who currently serves as the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru, a position he assumed on June 9, 2026, under the government of President José María Balcázar. Throughout his career, he has held various significant roles in the public sector, including serving as the executive president of the National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (Devida). Additionally, he has worked as a legal advisor and director for several state entities, such as the National Fund for Fisheries Development (Fondepes), Provías Descentralizado, the Peruvian Corporation of Airports and Commercial Aviation (Corpac S.A.), and Petroperú.
