Bhartruhari Mahtab

Bhartruhari Mahtab is an Indian politician from Odisha who currently serves as a member of the Lok Sabha. He has a long-standing parliamentary career, having been elected to the Lok Sabha multiple times since 1998. Formerly a member of the Biju Janata Dal, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2024. Mahtab is widely recognized for his legislative contributions, having received the Outstanding Parliamentarian Award in 2017 and multiple Sansad Ratna awards for his performance in parliamentary debates and duties. He also briefly served as the pro-tem speaker of the 18th Lok Sabha in June 2024.
