Bidya Bhattarai

Bidya Bhattarai is a Nepali politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament of Nepal. She first entered parliament in 2019 following a by-election in Kaski-2, a seat previously held by her late husband, Rabindra Prasad Adhikari. Bhattarai served as the Minister of Education, Science and Technology until her resignation in April 2025, a decision prompted by ongoing national teacher protests and internal government disagreements regarding the School Education Bill. She remains an active legislator representing her constituency.
